Ross Animas Fly Reels

Review: Got the Animas 7/8 for my Winston 7wt steelhead rod. I like the aesthetics, it's light but not too light and loaded with backing it balances the rod well. I also like the clicking sound and the smooth drag system. If I had to be critical about something I would say that the drag is perfect for freshwater fish, but a tad too light for saltwater fish. Highly recommend this reel.

Review: Have this reel in the 5/6 Platinum and it balances very well on my 9' 5wt rod. Fit and finish are excellent which is to be expected from Ross Reels and the incremental drag adjustments are gradual unlike some of my other reels.
