Product Details

Dry fly fishing for selective risers on technical rivers, spring creeks, and stillwaters requires a specialized rod, tuned for sophisticated trout. Your tool of choice demands a smooth loading action capable of delivering precise casts with ninja stealth, while maintaining enough authority to turn-over long leaders in the wind, mend with total control, and produce positive hooksets at distance. The new Technica series answers the call of PhD level trout fishing. Its responsive, moderate action paired with an advanced carbon fiber matrix and exclusive MITO® Graphene technology delivers exceptional line speed, endless loop stability, and absolute accuracy. With lengths and line sizes dialed for hunting heads everywhere from wide, windswept rivers to intimate limestones, Technica is a must-have stick for the trickiest of trout fishing situations.

Models

  1. TE379-4 - The Technica 379-4 was created for trundling up tree-choked creeks. Its responsive, smooth-loading tip section is ideal for sharpshooting pocket water with small dries, while an authoritative mid and butt section provide plenty of reserve power when canyon winds do their best to defeat presentations with bulkier bugs or dry/dropper rigs.
  2. TE389-4 - Long three weights have a cult following for good reason: Line control. For those in the know, the Technica 389-4 is the tool of choice for making finesse dry fly presentations to near-impossible wary trout. It’s the perfect stick for picky fish snooting on tiny bugs in the film or for larger freestone creeks that demand line control at distance.
  3. TE480-4 - A sweet little stick, the Technica 480-4 was inspired by the legendary spring creeks of the Driftless area. It’s forgiving-yet-precise medium-fast action is perfectly suited for protecting gossamer tippets during the midge emergence in the “early season”, but still has enough grit and gumption to handle hoppers and terrestrials come late summer.
  4. TE489-4 - This is the ultimate light-line stick for wary trout that demand perfect presentation. The smooth-loading Technica 489-4 possesses the ideal balance of feel and finesse for technical dry fly fishing at distance, while maintaining enough horsepower for those days when the wind kicks up and light indicator rigs are the fallback.
  5. TE586-4 - The Technica 586-4 was built for the demands of technical trout fisheries where casting precision and accuracy dictate success. A forgiving tip section protects the lightest of tippets and BWO-sized bugs, while the responsive mid and butt sections provide plenty of reserve power for those days when the wind is up, and hoppers are on the menu.
  6. TE590-4 - The Technica 590-4 is the ideal technical trout tool on larger rivers and spring creeks. It’s the perfect rod for delivering long casts with aerial mends to distant targets winking in the surface film. Between hatches, the rod’s responsive medium-fast action provides plenty of power for downshifting to indicator set-ups or short leash rigs.
