Review: If you are wanting an above average streamer rod, I highly recommend the R8 Core 690-4FB. This is a super easy casting rod, that loads well, you can feel it load into the handle, yet it has the umph to deliver your streamer, no problem at all. Most of the time I'm more concerned with accurancy over distance, especially whan casting into brushy banks, and this rod shines, turning over flies very nicely and accurately. If I need to cast for distance its very capable of that too. This is now my go to streamer rod for appropriate sized streamers. Without hestiation, I would recommend this rod to any one looking for a rod that will fish dries, to streamers.
