Review: Man. When John told me this rod can punch through the wind and send a fly sailing, he was not kidding. I really wasn't looking to spend as much on my first real Spey Rod. But, after doing much DD on them, looking and various mfg.'s, the technology used in Asquith won me over. Bicycle component mfg Shimano, who makes some very high end components for the cycling industry, along with the fishing folks, provided technology for the making of this rod. And for all I've felt since using it, this is right up there with their top end group set used in the Peloton. This rod has incredible strength, yet provides sensitivity as well. It feels great in your hands and feels very precise when swinging those flies.
