Review: I have the 11' 7wt OPST Pure Skagit rod and I wanted to fish it with a Scandi Head but most Scandi Heads are too long for an 11' rod to cast easily. I thought I would try the RIO Scandi Body with just a floating or intermediate Polyleader/Versileader and it worked amazingly. These heads are 23' and with a 10' Polyleader or Versileader they are perfect. No need to add a floating tip to the Scandi Body either, just add the polyleader or versileader and you are good to go. I recommend using the Scandi Body in the grain weight close to the grain weight Skagit recommendation for the OPST Pure Skagit Rods. In other words, I have the 11' 7wt rod and their Commando Grain weight recommendation is 300-325gr, so the the Scandi Body I used the #6 (305 gr) or the #6/7 ( 325gr). Both work like a dream.
