➤ Choosing a Ross Fly Reel

Click-pawl reels provide a lightweight, traditional feel that is well suited to trout and lighter freshwater setups. Disc-drag models offer additional control and stopping power for larger trout, bass, steelhead, salmon, and saltwater species.

When choosing a reel, match the listed line-weight range to your fly rod and consider backing capacity, drag system, overall weight, and the type of water you plan to fish. Available Ross reel models, sizes, colors, and special editions may change throughout the season.
