Our Team
Over the Years
Gorge Fly Shop has been shaped by many people, some who are still with us today, some who have moved on to new chapters, and a few whose memories remain part of the shop. Each one has been part of our story and part of the service our customers remember. Through every season, the heart of our shop has remained the same: helping anglers with honesty, patience, and respect, whether they are buying their first fly rod or dialing in a setup for a lifetime of fishing. ➤Explore the Shop
Hood River County is more than our location. It is part of the shop’s identity, shaped by local rivers, backroads, customers, guides, friends, and families. Whether our team grew up here, moved here for the fishing, or became connected through the shop, the Columbia River Gorge remains at the center of who we are. ➤Explore Our Waters
Shop Owner
Travis Duddles
Born and raised in Hood River, Oregon, Travis grew up surrounded by world-class steelhead water. His passion for fly fishing became a career on February 29, 1992, when he opened Gorge Fly Shop.
Steelhead remain a lifelong favorite, but he also enjoys saltwater fly fishing for tarpon, bonefish, and permit. Travis continues to work in the business while making time for Oregon’s back roads, local waters, autocross racing, and his family.

Vice president
Lyndsey Duddles
Lyndsey has been part of Gorge Fly Shop for more than 17 years, growing from helping where needed into an important behind-the-scenes role with products, social media, blogs, office support, and shop operations. She loves that fly fishing brings together beautiful places, shared experiences, and good people.
Shop Manager
Charlie Piette
Charlie came to Gorge Fly Shop by way of Wisconsin, where he began working in the fly fishing industry as a college student and later guided spring creek trout and smallmouth bass. The Deschutes first brought him to Oregon at 22, and in 2022 he made the Columbia River Gorge his home.
Charlie spends most of his time fishing for Northwest steelhead and trout, while also bringing experience in warmwater, spring creek, and saltwater fishing. In the shop, he prioritizes customer service and enjoys helping new and experienced anglers find the right gear, improve their setup, and get more out of their time on the water.
Internet & Product Specialist
Greg Darling
Greg serves as Gorge Fly Shop’s Internet Manager and Product Specialist, helping support the shop’s online presence, product information, and customer-facing gear knowledge. His work connects the details behind the scenes with the products and information anglers rely on when shopping with us.
Warmwater species are where Greg feels most at home. He has spent a lifetime pursuing bass, crappie, bluegill, and walleye, with much of that experience coming from his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, north to Lake Erie, and beyond into Canada.

Team Member
Callum Brock
Raised in the Hood River Valley, Callum grew up with Gorge Fly Shop as his go-to fly shop long before joining the team. He started out fishing for trout with a single-hand rod and now spends much of his time chasing steelhead with a Spey rod on the Hood and Deschutes Rivers.
When he is not at work or on the water, Callum enjoys rafting with family, archery hunting, and telemark skiing. In the shop, he takes pride in giving every customer the best service he can, and if he does not know the answer, he will do everything he can to find it.
