Bauer SLT Fly Reels

Bauer SLT Saltwater Fly Reels

Bauer SLT fly reels combine a fully sealed drag system with smooth engagement and straightforward operation for demanding saltwater and big-game fishing. Developed over four years and tested against species including yellowfin tuna, tarpon, giant trevally, jacks, permit, bonefish, salmon, and steelhead, the SLT is built around the challenges of powerful fish and tough conditions.

Choose from Blue/Clear or Black/Clear finishes in three sizes: SLT 7/8/9, SLT 9/10/11, and SLT 11/12+.

Power with Control

An alternating stainless steel and carbon disc drag stack helps disperse heat and delivers smooth engagement under pressure. High- and low-end hard stops prevent over-tightening and free-spooling, with linear drag adjustment through each click. The redesigned clutch provides smooth transitions, including at high drag settings.

Straightforward Retrieve Conversion

A threaded hub provides access to the drag system, and the clutch is labeled for left- or right-hand retrieve so you can change direction without tools. Larger internal components simplify handling and are designed for the heat and torque associated with big-game fishing.

Built for Demanding Conditions

The fully sealed system helps keep water and debris away from the drag. Construction incorporates 6061 aluminum, 7075 aluminum, and stainless steel, with Type II anodized aluminum components for wear resistance.
