NRX+: Built to Crush Variables

Wind, complex currents, shifting hydraulics, and natural structure can challenge even experienced freshwater anglers. The G. Loomis NRX+ is built to help meet those conditions with adaptable, fast-action rods designed for a wide range of casting distances and fishing situations.

Developed with versatility as the priority, NRX+ actions provide the power, line speed, and loop stability expected from a modern fast-action fly rod without sacrificing feel and finesse at shorter distances. Whether you are making a close presentation, carrying more line, or adjusting quickly as conditions change, the NRX+ is designed to load efficiently and respond with a crisp, connected feel.

Dynamic Recovery Technology

Dynamic Recovery Technology combines the Mega Modulus+ graphite matrix, GL8 Resin System, and advanced compound-taper construction. G. Loomis also reimagined its Multi-Taper Design process to improve loading efficiency and feedback across a broader range of casting distances.

Mega Modulus+ matrix: Approximately 15% lighter than the original NRX material, improving balance and helping reduce casting fatigue
Smooth, rapid recovery: Helps form stable loops with less effort
GL8 Resin System: Maintains strength and impact resistance with less material, reducing overall blank weight
Quick-dampening materials: Deliver a crisp, positive feel through the casting stroke
