Fully CNC-machined from aluminum, the Guru X HD combines precision engineering with a lightweight, rigid design built to perform across demanding fishing applications.

What sets the HD apart is its full-frame construction. The frame completely captures the spool, preventing thin running lines and monofilament from slipping between the frame and spool. This added security makes the Guru X HD an excellent choice for Euro nymphing, Spey, and switch rod applications, where thin lines and running lines can be particularly prone to getting caught in the gap of a conventional reel.

At its core, the Guru X HD features Lamson's proprietary sealed conical drag system, engineered for virtually no startup inertia and a broad adjustment range. A larger fluted click-stop drag knob provides a secure grip and indexed feedback, while the thicker, shaped Delrin handle offers comfortable control. An integrated counterweight and radiused reel foot round out a thoughtfully refined design.
