Hardy Averon Fly Reel

Full Description

The Hardy Averon Fly Reel combines lightweight performance, refined design, and the durability Hardy reels are known for. Built around a large-arbor platform, the Averon provides fast line pickup and low startup inertia while keeping overall weight to a minimum.

A smooth, enclosed multi-pad disc drag system provides consistent pressure when a fish takes off, while the focused drag window makes it easy to make quick, precise adjustments on the water. Depending on the model, the Averon uses either a full or half-cage frame, with the open-frame designs emphasizing weight reduction and rapid spool changes.

The Averon is available in four sizes to cover everything from light trout applications through larger freshwater species and heavier fly lines. The 5000 and 9000 models use a closed-frame design, making them particularly well suited to applications where thin running lines or specialist Euro nymph lines are used.
