Hardy x Kelly Galloup Averon Streamer Fly Reel

Full Description

The Hardy Averon Streamer Fly Reel was developed with renowned streamer angler Kelly Galloup to address the specific demands of modern streamer fishing. Built on Hardy's proven Averon platform, the Averon Streamer has been purposefully re-engineered around the things streamer anglers need most: rapid line pickup, minimal line memory, and the ability to quickly clear slack line.

The extra-large arbor reduces line coils and provides exceptionally fast line retrieval, while the reel's nearly friction-free incoming retrieve allows the spool to spin freely when you're picking up slack. A quick slap of the handle or rim is all it takes to bring line back onto the reel, helping you get connected on your reel to your catch.

Streamer fishing can also put more demands on a reel than traditional presentation fishing. To handle those demands, the Averon Streamer features a widened spool rim and increased spool mass. The added mass increases rotational momentum during the retrieve while providing additional durability for anglers who fish hard and cover water aggressively.

A larger handle and counterbalance provide a secure grip and improved control during fast retrieves. Outgoing line produces an audible Hardy click, adding the unmistakable sound that has long been part of Hardy reel design. The reel is finished in a durable bead-blasted matte black anodized finish that gives the Averon Streamer a purpose-built appearance to match its performance.
