The Sage ESN Euro Nymph Fly Fishing Outfit | GFS Kit pairs a Sage ESN rod and ESN reel with a purpose-built RIO Euro nymphing system. Rod, reel, FIPS line, backing, leaders, sighter material, and fluorocarbon tippet are all included, giving you a matched setup for tight-line and European-style nymphing without having to piece the system together one component at a time.

Why Build Around the Sage ESN?

A good Euro nymphing setup is more than a long rod and a thin line. Rod length, reel balance, line diameter, leader construction, sighter material, and terminal tippet all work together to determine how efficiently you maintain contact and control your presentation.

The Sage ESN reel was designed specifically for this style of fishing. Its full-frame construction helps prevent thin line and leader material from slipping between the spool and frame, while the ultra-large arbor provides fast line pickup. An adjustable weight system allows the reel to be fine-tuned to balance different ESN rod lengths and configurations.

RIO's FIPS Euro Nymph line forms the core of the line system, while the included Two Tone Indicator Tippet provides a highly visible sighter for tracking subtle changes in the drift.
