Scientific Anglers Amplitude Smooth Infinity

If you want one premium line that covers the most water and the most techniques, the Amplitude Smooth Infinity is the short list. This taper is designed as a versatile, all-around freshwater line that can present dry flies with control, carry indicator/nymph rigs with authority, and still has the power to drive streamers when you need to cover water.

You can't keep a good line down!  S.A.'s Amplitude Smooth Infinity is right at the top of the list for the best all-around trout line and happens to be my personal favorite.  A shiny new line always makes the angler in your life smile!

The Infinity is built a half-size heavy to help today’s rods load easily, while still casting smoothly across a wide range of rod actions. Its extended head and substantial front taper are what make it so “fishable”: it holds shape at distance, mends with less effort, and gives you the kind of line control that improves drifts, swing management, and overall efficiency on the water.

The Amplitude Smooth series of lines are, simply put, the highest-performance smooth fly lines in the world. With up to five times less drag and eight times the durability of traditional lines, this will change the way you look at fly line performance.

The conventional wisdom in fly fishing is that there's no such thing as a "do it all" freshwater line. We have something to say about that. The Amplitude Smooth Infinity has the power to bomb out streamers, yet retains delicacy for dry flies. It mends like an absolute dream, and delivers flies at all distances. Built a half-size heavy, with a long head and substantial front taper, it's perfect for everything from trout and panfish to pike and steelhead. There's a reason we call it the Infinity: there is no end to what you'll be able to do with it.
