When big flies, long casts, and precise line control are all part of the equation, the Scientific Anglers Mastery Titan Long delivers. This powerful freshwater fly line combines a fast-loading head with an extended rear taper designed to give anglers more control throughout the cast and presentation.
The Titan Long is built two line sizes heavy, giving it the mass needed to efficiently turn over large streamers, indicators, poppers, and other bulky rigs. Scientific Anglers recommends using the designated line weight for your rod rather than downsizing.
The 43-foot head provides plenty of mass for loading the rod and making powerful casts, while the extended rear taper helps maintain line control and makes mending easier once the line is on the water. That combination makes the Titan Long particularly useful from both a boat and while wade fishing.
The Mastery Titan Long features Scientific Anglers' Advanced Shooting Technology (AST) for improved shooting performance, along with a braided multifilament core and welded loops for easy rigging.
Designed for cold- and medium-temperature freshwater environments, the Titan Long is an excellent choice for trout, bass, carp, pike, striper, and other species where large flies need to be delivered with authority.
