The Scientific Anglers Sonar Stillwater Float is a new-for-2026 floating line built specifically for stillwater trout fishing. With a long 45-foot head, an overweighted profile, and a full floating design, it is made for casting multiple flies, long leaders, and indicator rigs while maintaining the control needed to fish effectively at or near the surface.
The line's 45-foot head helps make long casts and line management easier, while the added mass makes it easier to turn over stillwater rigs and reach fish at distance. Scientific Anglers' AST Plus coating provides increased slickness for shooting and added durability, while the improved dry tip helps keep the end of the line riding high.
